It is our pleasure to share this mid-year Newsletter with all donors, sponsors and friends. As you will see from the report of our Treasurer Neil Jones, the period since our Fifth Anniversary Celebration has been a very fruitful one. We are so appreciative of your continuing support that has raised nearly $140,000 this year for Challenge 22. This includes the generous matching funds of $50,000 given by the Griffith University Vice Chancellor Professor Carolyn Evans on Anniversary Day. We are right on track to reach our $300,000 target for the year. THANK YOU!
This target is so vital for the malaria vaccine development as it will enable Professor Good, Dr Danielle Stanisic and their team to complete all of the preliminary studies with the field-deployable form of PlasProtecT®. Professor Good provides more information about this in his regular update.
In this issue there are also inspiring stories: a follow-up on Colin Welch’s epic kayak journey down the Murray River and Kevin Hales’ story about how foreign coin collection has driven Goolwa Rotary Club’s dedicated funding for the Malaria Vaccine Project.
Please continue to support our endeavour for a Malaria-Free-World
